Introducing Synthetic Avatars
Bring your products to life with customisable AI-generated models.
Pose your model in every shot
Create a sense of consistency by reusing curated poses. Create your own brand poses or use presets.

We have released our first iteration of synthetic avatars to Graswald AI, allowing you to create and use the same synthetic models consistently throughout your entire organisation.
Why we built it
Great product photography doesn’t just showcase an item—it tells a story. But for many fashion and lifestyle brands, producing consistent model imagery is time-consuming, expensive, and often inflexible.
We built Synthetic Avatars to give teams more creative freedom and control—without relying on complex production workflows. Whether you're a lean e-commerce team or scaling content across markets, avatars let you move faster, stay on-brand, and focus on what matters: creating beautiful, high-performing visuals.
Synthetic Avatars aren’t about replacing real models—they’re about giving you more options when time, budget, or logistics stand in the way.

Creating and training the avatar
You can create a new avatar for your organisation using the new context menu.
Describe the avatar in detail and focus on unique traits of the face, hairstyle and skin color. Referencing certain ethnical origins helps Graswald AI understand what you’re trying to achieve as well.
The more unique and specific your prompt is, the more unique the created avatar.Once your prompt is created, Graswald AI will generate a selection of 4 potential avatars to pick from. If you don’t like any of the results, you can go back, adjust your prompt and try again.
Once you’ve selected the avatar preview, Graswald AI will start training on your model to be able to replicate it consistently throughout all of your generations. Training currently takes about 1h, but only needs to take place once per avatar.

Using avatars in your generations
You can pick your avatar from the avatar panel in the generations tab. Once an avatar is selected, any person indicated in the prompt will be replaced with the avatar. In order to reference the avatar in your prompt, all you need to do is mention a person (e. g. a man wearing the product, standing in a dark forest). If your prompt includes a description of a person that does not resemble your selected avatar, adjust the prompt by reducing the description to ensure the avatar gets displayed correctly and not tries to catch some external descriptions from your prompt.
